Love2Smile
After exhausting myself searching for a writing curriculum, I purchased "The Lively Art of Writing" that has been suggested here at the boards. It looks pretty good! If you have used it and nothing else, how did it go?
Pam in MA
We are using this year and the girls are really enjoying it. We're probably going to return to Classical Writing next year, but it's been a refreshing change. We've been building a list of the main point of each chapter and they are trying to apply the ideas to all of their writing, as well as doing the assignments in the book. Michelle in AL
I've used it along with other things, but is seemed to stick the most with my students. It is laid out in a logical fashion that gives a strong framework to theis writing. I saw significant changes after using it.
angela in ohio
I use it, but with other things. I can't imagine a world where I had to use only one thing for writing. Shudder. ;) My dd likes it, because it is concise. She called it "chock-full"
Brilliant
My dd used it as her primary writing curriculum in the 2nd semester of 10th grade. I thought it did a good job preparing her for a very difficult English course she took in 11th grade, which involved writing lots of term papers.
