  2. Have any of you used BJU 8th grade American History for your child? My daughter is Community College bound or will work after she graduates. Thoughts??
  3. I read you have to download the workbook pages, and the DVD's are sent to you. Do you get sent the link automatically? How long did you wait until the DVD's came?
  4. I am just wondering how it is you say "I believe in God" yet you also say religions are man made? So do you also think God is man made?

  12. I am starting a low carb diet today. Can you share your low carb recipe site that you like? Or any other low carb site?? Thanks!
  13. I am practically in mourning right now! I think it's going to be harder on me than my girls. Of course I have anxiety issues and worry about them. Another reason they are going back. They don't need to be around me when I am so clingy to them. It's time for "me" to break the apron strings. I know in my heart it is best for all of us on so many levels. I cannot protect them from the world and MY fears forever. That would be worse than the public school.
  14. My girls start tomorrow. It's bittersweet. I am not crazy at all about the public school system either, however since we are so isolated and my oldest is emotionally immature and really needs some deadlines, commitments and life experiences, it's the best thing for her at this point. She'd never leave her room if I did not make her get dressed in the morning. She needs this, and so do I. All we do is fight when we are together.
  15. Thanks, I am more worried about my older one and finishing up enough credits to graduate. She may have to take a year of summer school. We are so isolated and know of no other homeschoolers in our area. My older one was not emotionally developing at all. She needs some real life experiences and someone to answer to other than me. It's for the best, even though it's bittersweet
  16. My youngest has computers and art for electives and since my oldest just registerd last week she did not get first or even second choice of electives. She has PE and is going to be on yearbook committee. She would have rather had computer art or something else. Oh well, she has next year still They will hopefully, most likely move on to Jr. College after grad
  17. I am sending my two daughters back to public school this Wednesday. I have been homeschooling them a total of 4 years and I am feeling very sad and it's bittersweet sending them back but it's the right thing to do for them for so many reasons. They are entering 8th and 11th grades.
