Liz CA
Between my hilarious night spent at the office and dh doing the grocery shopping, we forgot dishwashing detergent (the machine kind). Bring it on!

klmama
Put some baking soda in the soap containers in the dishwasher and add a couple of drops of Dawn or whatever other liquid dish detergent you may have. That's DROPS, mind you! Run it as usual.
amyco
I agree, a few drops of regular liquid dishwashing detergent would work. If you want powder and have some borax handy, you can use 1 Tbsp. borax plus 1 Tbsp. baking powder per load. Prerinse the dishes well, though. :)
amyco
I meant baking SODA, not baking powder. 1 Tbsp. borax plus 1 Tbsp. baking SODA. So sorry about that. Must need more cookies. :D

delaney
I tried a recipe using 1 cup washing soda, 1 cup borax, and some Dawn mixed in and it left my dishes semi-clean and cloudy. Did NOT work at all.:glare:
