Joy at Home
I was ready to buy a subscription through Homeschool Buyer's Coop, but just found out my district subscribes. I have a call into the super's office to find out their policy on this. Does anyone receive this through their district? I know it probably varies from district to district. thanks!! lisa

JoJosMom
We have free access to Discovery Streaming through our charter school. It rocks!
JudyJudyJudy
I still use my account that I had as a teacher (I actually got it through the college where I took a class to renew my teacher certification). However, I've been told that homeschoolers can get a free account in Georgia anyway. I've never had a need to look into it to see if that's accurate, though. MaMa2005
We get it through our state. It is used daily. One caveat that happened with us - DS is 5 and they refused to give us access because, in GA, you are not required to start schooling your child (with a letter of intent) until age 6. We got around it because DH is both a high school teacher and college professor and thus, has access.
Farrar
How do you find out if your district subscribes? Do they list their subscribers? Is it searchable?

Joy at Home
How do you find out if your district subscribes? Do they list their subscribers? Is it searchable? I called Discovery and asked. They can look it up for you:001_smile: Regardless if I can get it free or not, I am super excited about using this. It will add so much to our science and history studies!!
alpidarkomama
In Georgia, all homeschoolers get it for free. I think there are a couple of other states where this is true.
