A cheap way to buy them is also at a place like JoAnn Fabric or a hobby shop, in the plant/floral arrangement section. The containers themselves are pretty cool - they're typically a clear cylinder container that looks like it's just filled with water, with maybe some of the spheres showing at the top, but when you tip the container to the side, the extra liquid moves to the side and you can see more of the spheres.
