Guest TheBugsMom
Does anyone know if there are knitting instructions that are wordless? Just a picture pamphlet maybe?
Jamee
Not sure exactly what you're asking. Do you want to knit from a chart, rather than row-by-row directions? Or are you looking for technique pictures. Most pattern designers create charts for their patterns. As for technique, knittinghelp.com is a great site. I also recommend Ravelry. :D
Guest TheBugsMom
I'm looking for knitting instructions to teach knitting using pictures only.
I talk to the trees
I don't know of any that are completely wordless, but the "Teach Yourself (skill) Visually" series does have a knitting book. If it doesn't have to be a book, try the videos available on Youtube. I like the KnitWitch videos, but there are many, many more out there. Guest TheBugsMom
Video won't work. I was trying to find a wordless picture page to send with yarn and knitting needles in a Shoebox gift being sent by our church to areas that are probably not English speaking. I was hoping someone knew of a pamphlet or page I could print off to include in the gift. Guess this does not exist:glare: Thanks for the ideas though. astrid
Lovely thought, but maybe a tall order. If you find something, though, let me know. I teach English as a Second Language and lots of my ladies would like to learn to knit. astrid
