My son has enjoyed Mrs. Frisbee and the Rats of NIMH, Cricket in Times Square, all the E.B. White books...

Both of my boys love Roald Dahl, but I must warn you about them if he is sensitive. Have you seen the new version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? All of his books are like this. :D

 

My oldest also enjoyed Boxcar Children, Swiss Family Robinson, Sherlock Holmes, Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer, Shiloh, and Tornado to name a few.
