simka2
dd's room!!!! I have a really good hot water carpet cleaner. I've used everything from store bought brands of cleaner, to homemade concotions with vinegar and baking soda. Is it a lost cause? Do I just need to rip up the carpet? HeathenMom
my husband is a carpet guy and he says the only way to get urine smell out is to use an enzyme that eats the bacteria feeding on the urine. unfortunately, i don't know where you can get it aside from a place that sells chemicals to carpet cleaners.

DarcyB
Any pet supply store will sell enzyme sprays that you can use.
Xuzi
Are you sure it's her carpet? I had the same issue in my kids' room. Even threw away their area rug (we have laminate floors) and the urine smell remained (thankfully, the rug needed to go anyway). It ended up being a combination of some toys, some of their bedding, and their hamper that was the source of the smell. Once I super-hot-washed/threw out those, the urine smell left. AuntieM
Be sure it's nowhere on the wallboard. An accident close to the wall, a laundry hamper close to a wall, or soiled clothing left up against a baseboard could transfer that odor. You would then have to paint. simka2
There is a chance it is in more than the carpet, but I can still smell it when I put my nose to the carpet. I am going to paint and I think I will hot was all her stuff today. Her pug that died a couple months ago had more issues than I realized, includeing peeeing everywhere. It's weird, but the smell seems to get worse the more I attempt to deal with it ;( Off to start some laundry...

Lara in Colo
Another suggestion is to pull the carpet back (not rip up) and paint the floor with Kilz. I would try this after the enzyme but before replacing the carpet. Lara
