mo2
that is keyed to the Fagles translation? Or can I use a guide that is not keyed to that particular translation? Thanks.
Julie in MN
I've been watching the Teaching Company videos from our library. I like the teacher.
JennW in SoCal
We watched the Teaching Company videos while reading the Fagles translation and it worked very well. It really helped me appreciate it much more than I would have otherwise. It's Dr. Vandiver's lectures -- she has a set on the Iliad and a set on the Odyssey, too. mo2
Wow, those are WAY out of my price range. I'm sure they're good, but I don't have $200 to spare. I'm looking more in the $20 range! Thanks for the input though.
In The Great White North
I got the Vandiver audio tapes through ILL. I didn't feel like I missed anything by not having the visual.

Smarr also has an Iliad guide. I haven't used it, but we'll use Smarr's Odyssey guide through MFW's materials. Julie
