We will be starting 1st grade next week and to be honest I'm not sure how to schedule our days. Last year I kind of did it by the seat of my pants but I think I need more structure this year. I know I want dd to do math and phonics everyday but I'm not sure about other subjects. Can someone please post a sample of your weekly schedule? Thank you very much ladies!

Last year my first grader did spelling, writing (copywork), reading, and math daily. Three times a week he did grammar (FLL). History was on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and science on Tuesday and Thursday. (He had finished phonics before beginning first grade.)

We're doing Sonlight Core 1 with both kids, 1st and 2nd graders.

We do about an hour of seatwork, lunch, science, then unschool-style elective choices all afternoon (no tv) with almost an hour of Bible/missionary stories/literature read-alouds and history in the evening.

Monday-Thursday

Writing

Grammar/Phonics
