Jennifer in MI
In the last 24 hours, I have: 1. Installed quarter round in our upstairs hall 2. Installed crown molding in said hall 3. Caulked/primed/painted all trim/crown in hall 4. Ordered a runner and a table for the hall 5. Primed the five doors in that hall And, later I'll paint all the doors and dh will paint the ceiling. So, how'd I do??? Can I call myself a do-it-yourselfer??????

myfatherslily
Wow, great job!! I'm proud of myself today for fixing a slow leak in my toilet instead of calling my FIL to do it for me:) It was a simple thing, but I know nothing about toilets, so I did have to figure it out first! You have done a lot in one day!:D
Jennifer in MI
YES!! :D And good for you! :hurray: Thanks! I'm adding it to my resume!! LOL Wow, great job!! I'm proud of myself today for fixing a slow leak in my toilet instead of calling my FIL to do it for me:) It was a simple thing, but I know nothing about toilets, so I did have to figure it out first! You have done a lot in one day!:D Way to go on the leak!!! I'm SO happy when I can do these types of things by myself. My dh is NOT a DIYer, AT.ALL. So, it's me or nothing!!! I was proud of myself last week when I saw a leak in our shower head hardware. I called the company and got the replacement part sent. Dh would've just gotten a new shower head!! LOL So, good job to you too!!!
MamaT
Yes Jennifer, you qualify! We installed hardwood floors this summer ourselves (with a small amount of help from a friend who does it for a living). Even the kiddos helped.
LauraGB
I think that qualifies! Good for you, Jennifer! How do you feel? Are you checking and rechecking, looking from all different angles now that it's finished? And most importantly, are planning the next renovation?? :bigear: If so, you are now, officially, A Do-It-Yourself-er. :D

You got someone else to paint the ceiling. :D
DarlaS
My dh is NOT a DIYer, AT.ALL. So, it's me or nothing!!! Same here. Not only is my husband working every day, he hates household projects. He'll do them but his goal is to be DONE, while my goal is to be happy with it. I've taken over. I've even started building furniture. It's freeing--and I get new some toys out of it. :D
