Hoggirl
When your dc do a context paper for history for a literary work, where do you have them get their information? Your "spine?" Timeline book? Do you have them use MLA citations within their context papers? Is using an encyclopedia "wrong?"
Chris in VA
Just down and dirty here--not a "real" paper with citations. More along the lines of a few paragraphs about "stuff" happening around the world, with the idea that some of it may have influenced the writer of the GB we are studying. We used SWB's suggestions of Spielvogel and Timelines in History (whatever that tome is called). We also occasionally used an encyclopedia.
