Holly in FL
I am making a bread that has extra grains added. I forgot to rinse my 1/4 cup of quinoa before adding it to my starter. Is it going to make my bread bitter? How could it affect the taste? Or, will it be okay? Thanks! ~Holly

Thanks! ~Holly Holly, I just prepared quinoa for the first time the other day and my pkg says it's pre-washed/rinsed. I think I'll check again. Certainly they wouldn't use soap on it, so what would be difference b/t wash and rinse in this case? What does your label say in that regard? Also, is there a toll free number you can call? Holly in FL
I buy from Bread Beckers...my grain co-op. I have a 6 gallon bucket of quinoa. It doesn't say anything. ~Holly
Holly in FL
I did some research on my own...and, I found that it won't hurt us...but, it may taste bitter. Hmmm... Now I need to decide if I toss my starter and make a new one. ?? ~Holly
