twoxcell
I just recieved AAS level one and two in the mail yesterday. A really nice lady who I don't even really know sent them to me for just the cost of shipping. Level one has been used. I noticed that everything is still there except for the tokens. I was wondering if someone could describe to me what these look like so I can find a substitute? TIA
monalisa
They are just the little round, flat, plastic counters that you can buy as math manipulatives. I can't remember how many came with AAS, but it was just a few. There is nothing magic about them -- you could use Cheerios, M&Ms or beans just as easily. Anything that you have the child move as they segment the sounds would work.
forty-two
Just flat, clear colored plastic pieces, approx. the size/shape of a penny (at least that is what was in my used level 1 set). HTH
twoxcell
Thanks guys! That's what I figured, but wanted to make sure there wasn't something special about them.

susankenny
Mine came with a total of 4, each a different color. Same here. But you could use rocks, cereal, pieces of paper...anything! :D We seriously love AAS! Susan
Dana
My level 1 came with 5 discs like this. Of course my son found them fun to play with and promptly lost one. :glare: Anything will work well for them, but these were what came with my version. I've been very happy with AAS!
