So what's the best slip and slide out there?

Recommended Posts

I have no idea, really. But your post reminded me of an end of the year party we had for our jr. highers when I was teaching. It was at this palatial home by the river - tennis courts, beautiful swimming pool, everything. Gorgeous. And you know what the kids were doing? They had this make-shift slip & slide made out of a black plastic tarp on a hill, a garden hose and some dish soap to make it extra slippery. They played on that thing for hours.

We have a regular Sip N Slide. It's seen two summers so far. It's still in fairly good shape. However, please do not make the mistake that I did. I let kids in their jean shorts use it. The metal of the jeans has put several small rips in the slide. I've patched them and now have a no jean shorts policy.

Go to the local home improvement store and buy the highest grade plastic sheeting you feel comfortable with. I'd suggest getting the clear, it tends to not kill the grass under it as easily. Add some dish soap onto the belly and have a blast! We make LONG slides.:D
