angela&4boys
I'm hoping to find something simple and practical to implement.

MamaT
The link above to Simply Charlotte Mason shows how we go about Bible memorization. I have found it to be very effective.
ScoutTN
Two things come to mind: 1) Great Commission Publications has a Memory Work notebook with suggestions for Scripture memory from age 3 through 12th grade. http://www.gcp.org 2) NavPress has historically had wonderful materials for Scripture memory. I used their their Topical memory system as a college student. I'm sure they have some good things for kids!
Rebecca77
John Piper's Desiring God ministries has a memory verse system called Fighter Verses that's really cool. I need to learn how to link, I apologize.

CarynB
:iagree:We use SimplyCharlotteMason's system as well. It's worked great even with our 2 and 3 year old joining in!
silliness7
John Piper's Desiring God ministries has a memory verse system called Fighter Verses that's really cool. I need to learn how to link, I apologize. I ordered just the CD of the Fighter Verses set to music. We've been listening to a couple verses at a time during lunch. LOVE the songs. They are very well done. It's been a painless and fun way to memorize Scripture. And I've been able to bring up certain of these Scriptures at times when talking with my dc. So they're sticking in my brain at least :001_smile:
