This is royally dumb

I have strep or the flu or something. My throat is nasty and hurt so bad so that is why I thought strep but I'm terribly weak and in pain from head to toe.

 

Anyway, so seeing as we're on unemployment and have no insurance (the kids have the state insurance, but hubby and I have nothing now), I tried to search for free/low cost clinics. I *keep* getting places for vaccinations and spay/neuter for dogs and NOTHING for humans.

 

I'm getting frustrated. I'm too sick to think straight.

 

I think I'll try the United Way and then I don't know.

I'm so sorry. We have the same sickness here, and it really stinks.

try your local health department, they should be able to help you. It might cost a little bit but it should be on a sliding scale if you have to pay anything.

My ds had a sore throat two weeks ago. It hurt so much that I took him in for a strep test which came back negative. Now my youngest has it. The nurse practitioner told us to try honey or gargle with salt water for the pain.

 

The good news is that is was gone in a few days. I hope you feel better soon.

I keep hearing about something called a "minute clinic" that is held at some pharamcy/ies. It might be CVS or Rite Aid. Actually, I just went ahead and googled it and here is the information. http://minuteclinic.com/services/.
