Halftime Hope
What are you planning to do? If you are ordering stationery from somewhere, would you mind posting your source? We have a homeschool support group graduation, so dd will be graduating with them. What I need is nice but inexpensive invitations and announcements. (Two different groups of people.) Thanks! Kareni
I browsed various online stationers to get a feel for format. Then my husband and I made our own graduation announcements and invitations. We included a color photo, and I must admit that they looked great. It was far cheaper than ordering from a company. Regards, Kareni

Brenda in MA
Last year, I found a kit at Staples for around $20 for the Class of 2009. It came with a template for the computer, stationery/envelopes for the announcements, and matching thank you notes. I was able to choose a nice font, write up the announcement, and print them on our home printer. They looked really professional. I'm not sure if Staples is selling this kit again, but it might be worth a look. Brenda

Guest Katia
We have used http://www.homeschooldiploma.com two times now, and have been more than satisfied each time. They have quality products and do a great job. Their customer service is top-notch. Both of my high school seniors were very, very happy with the variety of styles and designs that they have to choose from, and they were able to find exactly what they wanted. I highly recommend them.
newbie
I am confused, are they announcements or invitations and if so what is the difference??
K-FL
I am confused, are they announcements or invitations and if so what is the difference?? It depends on what you want & how you word it. We didn't have a ceremony so there was nothing to invite folks to. We did want to tell folks that dd#1 was a hs graduate so sent out announcements. outtamyshell
We are having senior photos taken by a friend who is an amazing photographer (www.julia-wade.com). She is going to create a collage on cardstock that will include the announcement. I've seen something similar for wedding announcements and thought they were fun. We'll probably throw in a business card size invite for the graduation party.
Kareni
I am confused, are they announcements or invitations and if so what is the difference?? We did both. We sent invitations to local friends and family who were able to attend a ceremony that was hosted by a local homeschooling resource center. We sent announcements to distant family and friends who would be unlikely to travel to attend. Regards, Kareni

Janet in WA
We sent out announcements which we printed ourselves on stationery (cards) we purchased at an office supply store. We sent these to friends and family everywhere. For those lived close enough to be able to attend, we enclosed a small card inviting them to an open house at our home.
