Teachin'Mine
When I saw this, I was reminded of a recent thread here, and I thought some might be interested. Here's the link: http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101050321/graphic/index.html You can click on the right - it's fascinating how many are looking at Mary's role and place in Scriptures anew. :001_smile: So sorry - I thought this was the current issue, but it turns out to be from 2005 ... :blushing: Edited March 20, 2010 by Teachin'Mine
Night Elf
:D regarding your date mistake. I don't always click on links so I went directly to the Time magazine website and the current edition cover says JOBS where are they? I was wondering why that was so surprising. :)

Night Elf
You mean there ARE jobs????? Where????? :D I meant surprising because it was talking about jobs, a big topic in today's economy. Maybe we should be buy the magazine and find out where those jobs are. :)

milovany
I know this has been a been a big step for us -- learning to give Mary honor and a place in our daily faith. I like how I once heard it spoken, that she was the first one to have "received" Christ so was the first Christian (similar to what it says in the article). mcconnellboys
This is interesting no matter the year of publication. I have not really heard this discussion. For the past few years, I've been hearing Mary Magdalene bandied about as a very important disciple, but not Mary the mother of Jesus...... However, I have also read that all the Marys around Jesus may have been part of what was a group of wise women within the community and that this was common.....
