Kathie in VA
I just got one from our library on Plato's Republic. I was going to read this with my kids ... possibly using guidance from WTM, WEM, &/or Teaching the Classics. However I found the TTC course from the library today and thought this might really help propel us forward. So do we read it first or just start viewing and it will tell us when to break to read? ... or is it read aloud in the course? Also, typically how long is each lecture? Any other guidance? thanks, Kathie
Janice in NJ
Each course has a guide book with "Required Reading" listed at the end of each lecture. It will guide you through the Republic in sections. Peace, Janice
hornblower
All the subjects I've listened to so far have had 30 min lectures. If you go online to the TTC website and look up the course, there should be a detailed syllabus and texts so you can match up with your reading.
