LibrarianMom
Hello! I received a meat grinder for Christmas. So far I've used it to grind round steak into ground beef and plan to grind some pork loan roast later this week. Can anyone share their favorite items to grind, best recipes, and any alternative uses for their meat grinders?

BeckyFL
My mom used to put left over ham and sweet pickles through the grinder to make the best ham salad. :-)
Spy Car
If it has a "stuffing attachment" or you can use an outboard one, it can be fun to make your own sausages. Bill
chickenpatty
I want to get one to grind pork for making egg roll filling. Ground pork is relatively expensive around here.

Denise in Florida
Eagerly watching for suggestions. :coolgleamA: I have a meat grinder attachment for my Oster, the only time I use it is to make cranberry relish during the holidays. 2 bags cranberries, 4 or 5 peeled oranges and sugar to taste. LibrarianMom
I do have the stuffer attachments and am looking forward to trying my own sausage. I'm also planning to do some ground chicken and definitely ham as well. I recall my mom used to grind up cooked roast to make kind of a steak salad, but I don't recall liking it very much. I think I could do that though to make a quick filling for enchiladas or something. Other suggestions?
