Hedgehogs4
Is there anyone else here who adores Fancy Nancy for your little girls? If you have not yet discovered her, I just want to make a plug for the Fancy Nancy books. My 4 1/2 yo daughter loves them. She is using all the fancy words and playing dress-up, and none of it is disney, tv-related or anything. It's all book-inspired, and very, very sweet. Just wanted to ask / share. :001_smile:
courtney.byrum
My DD likes Fancy Nancy but adores Pinkalicious. I think if she hadn't gotten sets of both books at the same time she'd like Fancy Nancy more than she does.
CindyPTN
They're great. I love the way the curiosity leads them around to explain "fancy stuff." A little educational with alot of style and fluff for our little girl.
Senorita Tuna Fish
I think it's really a fun way to learn "fancy" words for a little girl. The best thing is that they are just wordy enough for my 5 year old to read ( she thinks books with the i can read stamp on them are for babies lol). Because my girls already like to dress up seeing a girl who does it all the time gives them an excuse to do it too. I really wish the author would do a spin off with Nancy's best friend Bree!! Osaubi
Fancy Nancy is big at our house, too. As a parent I like it 100 times more than Disney. I love that the books show to be fancy is also to be smart!
knit247
Fancy Nancy is huge at our house. DD#2 loves her - take a look at this if you need proof, LOL! My Mom & Dad gave her all Fancy Nancy presents for her 5th birthday last year :)
JeneralMom
We were just recently introduced to Fancy Nancy by friends with a 4yo DD. They gave my 3yo 2 books for her B-Day and another book which their daughter got as a duplicate (the Tea Party book which is Fabulous!!) and my mum bought her the game for X-Mas. My boys also love the book, and decided to "fancy" up their bedroom with all kinds of decorations (sure, they were knights and dinosaurs, but they were still fancy)
HayesW
My recently turned 9 year old adores her! She is a growing girl, but still loves to be a little girl at heart.
Jumping In Puddles
Both my kids enjoy Fancy Nancy. My dd is Fancy Nancy and I don't know where that comes from!
happyhomemaker25
I love Fancy Nancy! My kids.. not so much. LOL The girls don't mind her, they just don't think she is absolutely fabulous like I do, crazy kids!
gardening momma
I have heard of Fancy Nancy, but have not looked at any of the books yet. If they really are as described in this thread, though, I think I'll stay away. My house already looks like an explosion of dress up clothes.:tongue_smilie:
