K in MI
What is the best way to clean fingerprints, etc. off monitor screens (non-glass) and laptop screens?
dangermom
NO windex! Hang on, will be back. Consulting. Computer genius husband says use the glasses cleaner stuff that comes in a little squirty bottle, you can get it at Costco. Rubbing alcohol for stubborn stuff. Sandy in Indy
One of my hard and fast rules is NO FINGERS on the screen. Big, big, big no-no here! I clean mine with a dry microfiber towel most of the time. Sometimes I dampen it just slightly (monitor off, of course.)

[i'm almost afraid to ask, since that's what I've always done.. just a small spray on the paper towel, wipe.]

So you need something that's meant to clean anti-reflective surfaces.
Ibbygirl
Plexus. http://www.amazon.com/Plexus-Plastic-Cleaner-Protectant-Polish/dp/B0002JEHM6 Works great on computer and nav screens. :) Spray it onto the cloth and wipe on screen, don't spray it directly on the screen. :)

I've been doing it with mine and haven't seen any problems [or I just can't tell] because I thought of it as just another 'glass' thing to clean, like the tv, windows, mirrors, etc... but I don't *want* a problem, so I'll see what else I can find for cleaning it. Thx! :)

Teresa in MO
I bought a cleaner at Best Buy specifically for LCD screens. We use it on the monitor and flat screed tv.
