BikeBookBread
Oh, okay. Would Pollan's books (Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food, etc.) be part of this philosophy?
jplain
Could you be more specific? Are you talking about the Eat-Clean Diet? Or do you mean a more general eating plan that specifies eating whole, unprocessed foods?
4kiddies
Sorry, I'm talking about the general lifestyle and am hoping that you guys can point me to some more specific resources. Thanks.
BikeBookBread
We've been picking up Mother Earth News magazine recently -- lots of good resources in there. Also, here are some good movies all available on Netflix or at Blockbuster: King Corn Food, Inc. The Future of Food
Heather in OK
We try. :) Pollan's books would be good. Tosca Reno's book The Eat-Clean Diet is also excellent. One of my favorites is Clean Eating magazine.

Penelope
Second Joel Fuhrman's books. He has a couple for adults, and one specifically for kids. Really inspiring as to why to eat this way.
4kiddies
And what does eating clean actually entail? I have just kinda been hearing the term--I'm not real familiar with it.

4kids4me
Whenever I hear the term eating clean, I automatically think of Tosca Reno. Look her up on amazon.com and there are a few materials, all easy reads. She also has a column in Oxygen magazine, which is a wonderful resource for eating clean and strength training for women. She transformed her body in her 40s and now at 50 is absolutely amazing!
HappyGrace
I am familiar with the Eat Clean that's by Tosca Reno-love that cookbook and her general philosophy follows what I believe to be the best, after years of research and reading about many. She's like a mix of the best of what I've read-very balanced. Just asked for the magazine subscription for Christmas! (Joel Furhman is not for me, personally. Not that he's wrong-I just can't eat that strict.)
