Joanne
but my acceptance was conditional upon registering a GRE score by the end of November. I have a night of Quantitative Comparisons, Data Interpretation, Word Analogies and worry ahead of me.

G5052
I had finished all of my core courses, and had a required meeting with the Chair of the Graduate Committee to sign off on the next phase. I was actually on my way to the airport. We were chatting away and he suddenly looked funny. "Did anyone ever tell you that you have to take the GRE?" "No, I don't think anyone ever did." "Who interviewed you for admission?" "You did." "And when did you get your decision?" "You gave it to me verbally at the end of the interview. You said there was no reason for anything more." "Oh. Now I remember. You went down and registered right away. Well, I can't advance you until we have scores. That's all we need though. Don't worry about the numbers too much." So I took the GRE a little more than a week later after being away in the boonies on a business trip where I couldn't possibly get any study materials. And they let me stay in graduate school anyway...
