DianeL
What is a good resource for extra word problems... either a free online site or workbook? I'm looking for 5th grade and up. Many thanks.:001_smile:

abbeyej
Challenging Word Problems from the Singapore Primary Math series. I'd recommend starting at least one grade level below your child's usual math level -- they can be very tough and you may need to spend time learning how to do math the Singapore way. Challenge Math by Zaccaro is also good. Each chapter includes multiple levels of word problems based on the same types of real-world problems. Math Olympiad practice problems are very creative and extremely challenging for kids who like to try to find their own ways to approach problems. They have books for 5th & 6th grades.
