I am planning on using this for our next school year. Can I supplement with Megawords for spelling or would it be too much? I just started Megawords 1 this school year and hate to think about dropping a good thing. I'll be using the 8th grade level ( we started Megawords in 7th to help with spelling and reading and really liked it.) thanks.....

I will be ordering the Fractions and the Decimals and Percents books to use over the summer as a supplement to our current TT Grade 7 program. These look like so much fun ! Can you move right into LOF's Beginning Algebra or do you need to take LOF's Pre-Algebra. Also...I'm confused about the Pre-Algebra with Biology.:confused: Thanks for your help.

I believe Landmark is a Baptist curriculum.

If I decide to go from TT7 to LOF, can I move from TT7 to LOF Beginning Algebra? or should I go to Pre-Algebra with biology? and is this enough of science to use it for science? I looked for this answer and haven't come up with one yet. I realize LOF Pre-Algebra is new. I have reasons for possibly making this change, one of them being my budget and the reasons we like TT7 (using the DVD's) changes next year anyway. Thanks for any input!:)

I will be using the Basic program, then moving on to Word Works ( along with the Supplemental program) and then finish up with Advanced Winston Grammar. Where do you think I could go next with the Rod and Staff series or what grammar program do you think is a good fit after this series? :confused: Thanks much!

I am using the Third Edition which I believe is the latest.

I need some advice. This is the first year I am using BJU lit and the teacher's manual is overwhelming. I know that I don't need to or should not do all the discussions, applications, etc. but I would appreciate some feedback or suggestions on what you used out of the TM, ie discussions, quizzes, reviews, tests, etc. HELP! Do the IG contain literary analysis? The catalog mentions SL400 does (I believe that's the core) but I didn't see it mentioned elsewhere.

Would it be to much to do SP and BF in the same year? I considering using this with one of the BF studies (Ancients.) Then again, I may use Sonlight and my question regarding Sonlight is what type of literary analyis do the guides contain? Also, is the Sonlight Civics/American Govt a year program? I was planning on doing this in 1/2 year and then Economics in the last half. Any help or ideas is appreciated. :001_smile:

I am currently using Basic for 6th, will use Word Works for 7th and Advanced for 8th. What would be a good curriculum to move on to in 9th grade? Rod and Staff, A Beka, AG???? Thanks for any assitance! I was using Rod and Staff and moved to WG which is working very well for my 6th grader. We stopped after Rod and Staff 5 since he wasn't retaining much of what he was learning. I'll also post on the high school board.

How do you use these books? I just received my school books and the elementary book looks great but I'm not sure if we should do one word per day or a few per day and after your child reads the page do you have them do sentences of their own? Any thoughts and suggestions would be great! Thanks.:)

A friend just gave me a Victory Drill Book to use this coming year. If you have used this, I would love to know how to use this. I believe I time the reading and then I wouldn't go on until he has reached his reading level at 100%. I'm sure this is SO easy!!!:confused:
