pattimiller747
I am considering buying Rainbow Science for my 14 yo dd. Even though I have a science and engineering background, it seems that many of our experiments with the various programs we have used have failed. I think Rainbow Science is expensive, but I am wondering if we will get more science done because we have everything and if it will be interesting. shalom22
We are using Rainbow Science and I will say that it is the first science program that we have stuck with. The kids really like doing the labs. I like it because they give you almost everything that you need to do the labs. Anything that you have to add is very easy to get, like distilled water. Shelly in IL
You really have to pay attention to note-taking and study to get alot of retention from the program. Otherwise, great program.
mom31257
We are enjoying our first year of it. It is designed to be a 2 year program for 7th and 8th. I think it could easily be done in 1 year if you plan on doing science every day. There are 2 short lessons each week, one lab, a quiz every 2 weeks. The quizzes are available free online. cseitter
I had no idea about the quizzes! Thanks!
missmoe
My oldest son used Rainbow Science. We enjoyed the program--did all of the labs. Like PP mentioned I felt that more writing needed to be added for retention. I followed TWTM guidelines for completing a science notebook while using Rainbow and it seemed to work for us.
