Hubby and son visited the daughter recently, and had a lovely meal. I just got an email from her telling us she'd be happy to meet with us whenever we were in the area, and she'd let us know when she was in our area. Easily the friendliest she's been in a decade. I love it when my behind-the-scenes plotting works out.:D And a hats off to her MIL who was, as I told her once, "the only candle in these dark woods".
