Homeschooling6
I have tons of expired (2006) Gevalia coffee. Taste wise do you think it still good? Wondering if I should keep or toss it. Thanks,
eternalknot
Brew a batch and (serve it to your husband and) see! If it's bad, toss it in the garden :)
swellmomma
Likely having expired 3 years ago, unless it had been kept in a freezer it would likely have a stale taste. I suggest instead the following uses for it * scattered in the garden to help nourish it * mixed in paint to create texture * mixed with water then used to stain paper to create an ancient paper look, great for treasure maps * make homemade "henna" tattoos * use to deodorize used books(gets rid of smoke and musty smell), a freezer or fridge * make coffee ground playdough http://childstoryhour.com/recipeclay10.htm

I can't tell the difference between decaf or regular, so maybe I won't be able to tell if it's old:confused:

LizzyBee
Because Gevalia is vacuum packed, it stays good for a long time. If it doesn't smell stale, I'd brew a cup and try it. If it tastes fine, use it. If not, the garden sounds like a good place for it.
