If you are from or live in India . . . (pretty please!)

Recommended Posts

My daughter's dear, dear, Math teacher is ill, quite ill. What's the custom in India? Does one send flowers? Grapes? Nothing? If one wanted to send something (and one definately does ;)), is there a way to do that like flowers? For example, if one wanted to send flowers to a friend in Maine, one could call a local shop up there or use a national company (teleflora, et al). Is something like that possible in India?

Thanks!

No, my daughter is not in India. I didn't even think how that would sound.:tongue_smilie:

She has an online math class; the teacher is in India but we're here (U.S.).

I would like to do something nice for her like send flowers or the cultural equivalent but . . . am at a loss.

I'll wait for your reply, Susan! Meanwhile, I'll check out those links!

Thanks, guys!

Here's what BIL wrote (cut-and-pasted):

Send a card with a few thoughtful lines. That should do. They don't

perish - and are usually read over and over again - unlike flowers!

We get 'thinking of you' cards here -or just a long letter. Mum does

the letter usually.
