Kareni
Okay, I have to admit that we finally made the honey baked lentils that I heard about here so many times. And they were a big hit. In fact, we've now made them twice, and even the somewhat picky teenager enjoyed them! So, a question -- have you ever attempted to do this recipe while camping (i.e., without an oven)? Second question -- can you recommend any other favorite lentil recipes? Regards, Kareni

Snickerdoodle
I cooked that recipe once or twice but I didn't bother to put it in the oven. I just cooked it on the stovetop. I think it would be totally possible in a pot on the grill.

amyco
I've made this in the crock pot thanks to the Crock Pot lady. Mmmmm...lentils. http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/12/crockpot-honey-lentils-recipe.html
Kareni
Thanks for the new recipes! And with word of the crockpot and cooking on the stove, it does sound that making this recipe while camping will be an option. Still eager to hear from others .... Kareni
Just an update to say that while camping my husband did make this recipe to rave reviews. He started it out on the camp stove and then used the barbecue to finish it off (ovens being in short supply!). Regards, Kareni
