FLL questions

I haven't actually used it yet, but it has 100 lessons for first grade and I'm thinking that averages about to about 3 lessons a week. That's my plan. I'm using A Beka phonics program and that's still pretty intense, so I will try to do FLL on the days where the phonics are a little more laid back. We'll see how it works out. I'm not sure about the writing aspect, so I can't answer that part of your question.

We did 5 lessons a week at first, but I think 3-4 is recommended. We slowed down to 4 a week.

No writing at all is required until maybe halfway through FLL 1. Then it's very easy - three options are given and the book always says to choose whatever option best fits the child's writing ability. There might be copywork of one word - it's very adaptable to where your child is.
