iwka
How much do you spend MONTHLY on groceries per person in your household (excluding kids younger than 1) including eating out? Edited June 21, 2009 by iwka
elegantlion
I voted 150-200, probably closer to the lower end of this. We are a family of three, we get take out about 2x per week, my dh eats lunch out about 1x per week, and we go out to eat about 2x per month. We also have a big dog and a fat cat, which I did not factor in.
Dobela
It depends on the week for us. We try not to eat out and I try to budget carefully. We are a family of 4 and I try to spend less than $100 a week including dd diapers for all of our groceries. If we eat out it is just over $100 a week to $150 a week spent. jonesloonybin
So far we are at $199 and change. But that is for all food/household spending but not including health and beauty.
RoughCollie
I spend $800 a month on groceries for the 6 of us. We rarely eat out. I cut my bill way down by not buying convenience foods, mainly. I also stretch meat quite a bit, and make my household and laundry cleaners. Sparkle
We are the same as Rough Collie. I spend $800 a month for 6 of us. I used to do it a lot cheaper, but we are mainly switching to organic stuff, so I'm spending more these days.
