  1. Thanks.....I didn't know that they would let you try a meeting for free. I might look into it. I know I have seen the WW kits for sale on Ebay. I didn't know if I could just by that and do it on my own.
  2. I need to get this weight off. I cannot seem to stick to South Beach at all. Many people rave about WW. My questions are, if you have done WW, are the meetings worth it? Can you do WW at home for free? Or, can you do it at home and you have to pay a fee?? Which is the best way to go with this. And have you found that it has worked for you? Thanks!
  3. :iagree: I have a yellow lab/Golden mix. He is the greatest dog ever. He is 56 pounds of pure joy. He doesn't have a mean bone in that body. Purebred Labs can be very hyper as puppies, so you need to train them right away, especially with the jumping issues. But they are pretty smart, so you can nip that in the bud. He loves, loves, loves everyone:001_smile: Labs are terrific :-)
  4. Don't forget the crimped hair!!! Proud Graduate of 1985 here. "I Want My MTV"........................
  5. I had to respond to your post, because I could have written it myself. I also had a baby die, and most of my anxiety started then. When I turned 40, it got even worse. I have been diagnosed with OCD/Annxiety focused on health related issues. I am on Wellbutrin, Buspar, and Klonipon for an immediate relief of the anxiety. I am also in counseling. I just wanted to give you a :grouphug:, because I understand how hard this is for you.
  6. OOOOHHHH, the 80's. Yep, I am feeling my age. We did this for my daughter. Kids came dressed in 80's clothes. Mainly Madonna outfits(from when she was young in the 80's, not now...LOL). The million bracelets on one arm up to the elbow, lace nylons, mini skirt, big hair with a bow, lace glove. Many came in Jordache jeans with hot pink legwarmers, oversized shirts with shoulder pads, and a wide belt. Lucky for my daughter, I kept my old "RELAX" and "CHOOSE LIFE" T-shirt from both Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and George Michael. I also had ALL my 80's music pre-recorded off my 'boom box" as a kid. All on cassette tapes. We had (or I made) pieces of paper with 80's talk. "Like, OMG gag me" "Like gag me with a spoon", "That is SO grody to the max". I also put out Devo hats. It was a real blast. I even had fun, since it was {{sigh}} my "era".(I remember seeing Madonna's Like a Virgin tour when I was 14...AAACK.
  7. The rule of thumb is to keep everything concerning a home 10 years from the date of the original signing. After that, in the paper shredder it can go. :D (Just keep the current one obviously):D
  8. The bank has to give you a Settlement Statement. This way you know this is what you need to bring to the table. Now, keep in mind that the day of the closing things can change. Many banks will do a second credit report to make sure you haven't run up a big bunch of bills prior to closing, the will also do a second title search in case a long lost relative, or a credit card company does not place a lien on the property, and you do not even know about it. Sometimes water bills, tax bills, oil left in the tank has not been calculated in until the last minute. Many times your rate lock can expire. There are many, many things that can change even minutes prior to close. A settlement statement is an "estimate" of what you have to bring, or take home from the closing of the property. If there is any discrepency in that number, the bank obviously has to prove to you why, and how to clear the matter. As a realtor myself, we do not have any control over what the banks do. The only thing we can control is our commission, and there have benn a few times I had to give up part of mine to get a deal to close.
  9. This does help thank you! And as far as a support group for hypochondriacs, I belong to an excellent one here on the internet. www.AnxietyZone.com Everyone there has the same fears we all do. And they are a big help when it comes time for waiting on test results, or you are flipping out over symptoms. Thank you:grouphug:
  10. That's good to know, because I really don't want a call back, even it it is only that, but I wouldn't know it until I got there!!!
  11. The mammo tech asked me on Thursday if I ever had any surgeries/injuries to my bre**ts. I answered no. I TOTALLY forgot that I had a mole cut out with stitches, underneath my left bre***t, towards the left edge of it. I had this done in April.(I had it done as I had about 12 other moles removed that had looked suspicious but all came back fine) OH NO.... Wonder if that will show up on my mammo? Ugggghh...
  12. Now my SIL told me that while I was there for my "annual", the Dr. could do the Endo Biopsy at the same time, if he thought I needed it(because of the spotting). So, I read others here were told to take Ibuprofen prior to the procedure. I am afraid that if he tells me to come back for it, I will chicken out. If I am there, on the table already(sorry, if TMI), I say just do it and get it done. I will deal with any pain during and after if I have to. My anticipation is worse then the procedure itself usually!!! Thank you, many of you have put my mind at ease.
  13. I have been spotting prior to getting my periods. I have a dr's appt on Monday. My SIL said (who is a med asst at the office) said he might do an endometrial biopsy if he doesn't feel anything wrong.(Like a cyst or fibroid). I am going to be 42. My periods themself have not changed at all. They still come on time, last the same amount of time, no heavy bleeding, no painful cramps, nothing. I have been the same since I have been 12. So she said based on that, he would still have to determine why I am spotting prior to getting my cycle. I spot for 2-4 days, it stops, then a few days later I get my period right on time. I had a med change last month and that is when it started, but that still will not tell him for sure. So she says maybe an endo biopsy. This scares the you know what out of me. Can anyone tell me about it and what to expect? Just in case? Thanks!!
  14. And I posted this on the wrong board....UGGGH. But thank you for the response. That makes me feel a little better.
  15. Oh I hope everything is okay!! And I am a hypochondriac as well, and I worry about cancer as well. Have you been to AnxietyZone.com? I love that site. All the people on there have the same fears we have. Oh, and no wine on South Beach :-( But I had a chocolate fudgcicle, sugar free:D
  16. All I wanted to know after I was done today was where was the air pump, so I could pump my girls back to their normal size:lol::lol:
  17. I would LOVE chocolate right now, but I am doing South Beach. OH, wait!! I can have a SF Fudgsicle. MMMMMM. Still praying for good results from radiologist, but I am still very glad I went.:D
  18. Just got back from my first mammogram. It didn't hurt at all. Our mammo machine has this "warming pad" system. It is also a digital mammo machine. Whatever that means. They knew I have a huge anxiety issue, so results will be read tomorrow, but will have official results from gyn on Monday. I told the mammo tech I was a nervous wreck and thought I was going to have a breakdown, just waiting for reults. She basically told me as I left "Well, I don't see anything that pops out at me, but again the radiologist needs to read it, see you next year" So if there is anything, I will assume it is small that will be picked up by the radioligist. I am glad I did it. I feel very proud of myself:001_smile:
  19. So, are you all saying I should treat myself after my mammo? I have huge health anxiety, and I am only going because a friend of mine told me if I didn't go, she was going to come up from FL and kick my keester.(I shouldn't of made the appt, good excuse for me to see her:D) Will update everyone when I get back. Thanks:001_smile:
  20. OMG Jan, thanks for the laugh. I will get quite a few chuckles thinking about some of these comments. I will also pray there is no fire drill:willy_nilly:
  21. I would like to know the answer to this myself. If I hear someone(and I have a friend right now that is going through this), that has an abnormal mammo, they are sent for an ultrasound. Plus, aren't ultrasounds safer as far as radiation is concerned?
  22. My breasts are never tender at any time of the month, so I guess that will be a non-issue with me. I am more scared of the results then the test itself. I have General Anxiety Disorder. Specifically Health. I wish they could just read the results today so I won't have a meltdown all weekend.{{{{sigh}}} I am going today, These posts are encouraging though, thank you:001_smile:
