On TOG's main page is a link "About Us-> Statement of Faith" http://www.lampstandpress.com/aboutus/index.php which clearly states their beliefs and the fact that it is a Christian program and how it works. I don't think it is fair to say TOG cheated you. The information is there to read before purchasing. However there are people using it secularly and hopefully they will respond.

I do have the Supplemental workbook so I could do that. I just wanted something different and more complete I guess.

Who hasn't had any grammar? If I start at the beginning she won't be finished both 1/2 in order to start FLL 3 in third grade. I know grade levels do't really matter but still I'd like it to match up LOL. She will be doing WWE 2 next year too if that matters. Edited to add: I just saw they have a revised FLL 1 and a FLL 2. Will there be both student workbook and teacher books for these or only one book for each grade?

I wouldn't call him fluent yet but he does OK. Maybe a 2nd grade level? I am going to see if I can find samples on the PHP site. Edited to add: I looked at some samples and I think he could do this. Looks nice!

I am using WWE with my upcoming 4th grader and was planning on R&S 3 done orally alongside it. He used Winston last year and did well with it, although I read it to him. Would FLL be a good fit and if so where would I place him? Thanks.

I have a Kenmore HE machine, which I hate btw. I had tried homemade powdered detergent (two different recipes: Fels Naptha, Borox and Washing Soda and Zote, Borox and Washing Soda) and neither would fully dissolve. I switched back to liquid HE detergent but I am trying to save money so I switched to Gain powdered HE mixed with Borax and Washing Soda and it won't dissolve. Again. I just tried a load with only the Gain and it looks like all the detergent is still in the dispenser! Is it just my machine? I have had a lot of trouble with this washer since we got it so I couldn’t be surprised if it was the machine. Did I mention I hate this washer? What else can I do? Maybe try the detergent right onto the clothes? I don’t want to ruin them. Thanks!

We did SWR in 4 days. I did 10 words on Monday, 10 on Tuesday, they studied and did some work with the words on Wednesday and a test on Thursday. If they missed any of the words we went over them on Monday before the 10 new words. I'm sure there are better ways but this worked for us last year.
