I use it with my children. My 1 yr old can say please, drink, eat and she just turned 1 on the 29th of Aug. It really has helped with the terrible two's around here. The kids cant say it but can sign it. It will help if your child plans to work with children.

One thing you need to consider it might seat 10 but will fit the car seats if you need them. That was our problem with our subburban. We couldnt fit all the car seats we needed. So now we have 2008 chevy express 15 passenger. we took one of the seats out so there is extra space.

Do to going to speech for 4 hours a day 3x a week I switched my children to ACE.It is easy to carry and not a lot of work for mom when we are out and about.But it to me is not a complete curriclum. I would like to supplement it in their workboxes on the days we are off. But how do you supplement a curriculum? How ould I add things with out them getting bogged down as too much school work?:confused1:

The Dr. Gave me procardia to prevent preterm labor. Has anyone taken this before? When did you go into labor? I'm 34 weeks now and I would like to make it to 37 weeks. My last 2 kiddos were born @ 35 and 34 1/2 weeks.

I asked around a little bit before answering a little background: my dh is a trainer in Muay Thai kickboxing and won the USA title and faught at the world championship. Coach Al Mitchell coached the 96 olympic boxing team and still coaches and David Reid won the gold medal in the 96 olympics and they both train my son in boxing. And I asked a pro boxer Nate and a amature boxer Jesse. They all said the samething its a anger issue. He needs help with his anger. Coach Mitchell said he would never allow him to even put on boxing gloves. David &Nate said they have never felt like just going up and hitting someone. David even mentioned when he gets in the ring to fight if he went in with anger like that he would lose over stupid mistakes.

I tore up the old flooring in our new school room. And I have to buy new to be put down "Hubby can do it" but what kind of flooring would be the best for a school room: hardwood floor,tile or carpet?

Correcting my boys apraxia is sooo imporant to me! Being able to talk clearly is sooo much more important than most things in life. It will affect them their whole life if we don't "fix" it now. My oldest son has a 11 year old friend with bad speech problems his mom sent him to public school K5 for "weekly" speech and never did anymore since sending him to a small private school who doesn't work on his speech. His speech is sooo bad you can't understand hardly anything. All she says is he will out grow it. She said her insurance would cover speech but driving there and dealing with it is too much hassel. But to me the hassel will be the biggest blessing someday!

My oldest I went through his school and he can do mostly all his except english (easy grammar) and spelling (mcguffey speller) My 2-2nd graders Saxon math Easy grammar and FLL WWE Mcguffey speller I have Abeka history science and health I also add SOTW and apologia Phonics pathway Pretty much the same for 1st grade

For speech it is schedule block she had open so she could put all my kids in. It is pretty much at least the next 2 yrs. Boxing is in the evening so that isn't a option and not doing boxing is not a option. Saturdays after boxing is open but its the only "family " day we have.

I just drop my son off at boxing on the way home and DH picks him up on the way home from work during winter boxing hours(school year). I scheduled my days to match boxing days so we don't miss any more days. My husband is a kick boxing trainer and sometimes if he doesn't have a work truck I have to wait in town for him. Boxing is 6 days a week but the 2 days home my dh takes him to the gym the sametime as him in the evenings. I tried to get speech later or have them come out but no can do. I was thinking of more independent work to take with us.

I have to take my little ones. My 2yr,3yr and 4yr have verbal apraxia and my 7 year old has delay speech problems. So my little ones are why we are there.

Ok we get up around 8 am and speech is @ 11. I live 45 minutes away and have 9 kids to get ready. We are there until 3:00. So we get home around 4:00. And after long days we are wiped. I do have some that could do work folders while there. A 6th grader 2 2nd graders and 2 1st graders. But how would I teach things without lugging thee huge teacher manuels? Or are there some curriculums better for on the go?

Has anyone done this? I have 4 kids in speech classes 3x a week 3 of them have verbal apraxia so speech can't change and those days are just too hard to school on. Any advice on how?

Join the awful mom club! I've done it and my son has come to love somethings and hate some. But I make him finish it. We tried baseball for a season he didn't like it. But he had to finish it like it or hate. I would make him do it for the season and if he doesn't like it then he gave it a fair shot!

The colors are not changing yet. but today it just seemed like fall. I kept feeling like it was going to snow.

I'm a yooper! Most people have no clue where that is. I use to be a troll who lived by the fudgies before DH and I got married.

We like somethings on TV. We enjoy the history channel discovery and my dh likes spike for UFC(he's a USA champion kickboxer). He isn't a big TV watcher. My kids enjoy full house. We don't watch sit coms they love game shows like wheel of fortune and who wants to be a millionaire. We like reality shows like the biggest loser and survivor. I also let them watch shows like cold case detective on how they solved crimes using modern technology. We watch some kid shows . I love word world. I don't let them watch the cartoon network unless its like a older cartoon like Tom&Jerry.

Is it really that bad to have TV if you monitor it? We have been TV free at home the last 10yrs only movies. But we watch it everywhere else but I only let them watch certain shows. So is it really that bad to have a couple of cable channels to watch. I would still monitor it instead of a free for all and have reasonable time set. I'm having cold feet. I keep thinking how fun it would be to sit down and be able to watch a show when ever. But then I think how I'll be a wicked homeschooler who let their kids see TV.

We don't name our kids after family. My family HATES my dh and DH doesn't get along with my mom either. But neither do I.and my DH family is all drunks. DH had a terrible up bringing (mom had a different guy everynite) and she was never home (she worked 2nd) their babysitters were local drunks too. So we stay away. My DH can't stand his mom (I can't either she's one of those loud mouth drunks) so no family names here.

Ok I should have gave more info. We already used faye,grace, anne and rose. We don't like joy or hope. Our last name is 2 syllables. My husband is kinda liking madeleine or madison but it doesn't catch me when he says them. I kinda like Liberty. My one dd likes Elizabeth but I grew up on Elizabeth St and I'm not to fond of it. So can someone Help???
