I love the looks of the Trail Guide to World Geography Series & have plans to use this with my 6th & 9th grader this year, but I get VERY intimidated by "unit studies". Hello, Last year was our first year of homeschooling. Before that our 11 yo ds went to private school for pre-k thru 3rd and then public school 3rd and 4th. But he struggled along the way due to a speech impairment. He no longer has an issue in that department however; I believe that it has held him back in the area of reading. (it doesn't help that he has no patience to sit down and read either) So I'm looking for some suggestions on a good curriculum that won't be to overwhelming for him. Here is our basic schedule for this coming school year thus far: Math: Teaching Textbooks 6 Science: Hands on Activities History: Geo Matters Series English: ACE Bible: Discover 4 Yourself Series Any recommendations will be appreciated! Could you tell me do you use the individual or homeschool edition? I ask because I was offered the individual edition Levels 1-3 for $50. What a blessing that would be, however I don't want to "miss" out on something very important just because of the price. Thanks!

Thanks for your input Sharon! I printed a lot of information off about them today. I'm just hoping the Lord gives me some direction!! Oh- and K in FL in Michigan we are not required to notify the state so would that still stand in affect?

I have been reading up on these 2 until my head is spinning! Can someone help me as to why you would/did choose one over the other. They both look like great programs.
