Are you sure you didn't get into chiggers?
/:iagree:

Oh me..pick me!

:hurray: FUNNY!

Our Persian cat was like this. He had his spot on the sofa. If ANYONE sat on his spot, he would sit at their feet and meow and bat your legs until you moved. Much like a 2 year old! :D

Yep, that's what it is. They will fade in a few days. My boys get them all the time if they are sick either vomiting or coughing really badly. My youngest even gets them if he cries too hard. :grouphug:

I have a friend who didn't know about proper cleanup and one shattered in the night and handled it with her hands. She lost the baby she was pregnant with 4 days later. (She was about 6-7 weeks along) Don't know if the two things were linked, but it seems suspicious. We won't use them until we can no longer buy the old ones in the store. Pretty irritating if they are MANDATING us to get them. :glare:

I know 2 little girls (different times, different dogs) who were playing with a 'very friendly dog' who ended up in the ER with many stitches and a life long scarred face. I'd get rid of the dog.

We LOVE it! Just taught our oldest boys to play! We also love Carcassone and have discovered a new one called "Dominion" Love those types of games! We have a train game called Empire Builders...that is also very fun but gets long (up to 4 hours)

Wow....we just got cable again after several years and Nick and Disney have some...um...interesting shows! Even some of the songs they play between 'acceptable' shows are so provocative! Thankful for Boomerang, Food network and HGTV! Also thankful for parental locks!

I have to add my 2 cents here and agree wholeheartedly with PQR. I would not hesitate to assume he's just saying what SO MANY here want to say.
Joanne, you have made it clear by all of your so-called religious posts that you are unwilling to be called out by your own sisters in Christ which smacks of fleshly pride. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Many of us here recognize that and try hard to live a Christ-like life, yet when anyone, anyone, questions you and the validity of what you say, you never ever bow out and apologize for your words, your pride, or back down and recognize that in following Christ, there is TRUTH. Not feelings. You have wanted your own brand of Christianity from the beginning and as a sister in Christ, I am calling you out. You need to think more clearly before you post such things and recognize who you are suppose to be and to Whom you belong and WHY you belong to Him. You said in your original post that you don't think you're "fallen"...well then, why do you love Christ?
We are all trying, hopefully with the help of the Holy Spirit, to follow Christ. Stop worrying over what others are doing and live for Christ yourself. Once you do that, once you recognize your own sin, maybe then you'll have the grace to deal with all the people who attach their own brands to Christianity.

Nope, you were directing it at me as well. So I'm curious...
And by the way, the bolded part IS my point. The "bitter card" is ONE of those issues that make me sick. It's brandied about to divert attention away from real issues.
If I misjudged the intent of your quote, then my apologies. I had read through many sweeping accusations against 'Christians' and had just 'had it' by the time I read yours and hit the quote button. Again, my apologies if I mistook your quote.
-
:grouphug: I second the second opinion!
-
And which side are you ASSUMING that I'm on, dear?
No assumptions. Just making a general statement and happened to use your quote.
-
If the shoe fits, that's not my problem. If it doesn't, then you shouldn't be offended. And I never claimed to be perfect. It's just the one card that I would not throw in a hurting person's face.
I never said the shoe fits. I find many issues in churches that make me sick. I'm just saying I find it ironic how people claim that Christians are so judgemental and yet I have read several sweeping statements about Christians from the other side that are equally judgemental. Just ironic.
-
Oooo, but what about wearing a bikini AND high heels at the same time?? :D
-
Yep, it's in the Fundamentalist Deck of Cards. Toss one out when someone's been hurt. Don't recognise the hurt, the pain, the wrong actions of others...just accuse the victim of being bitter.
I'm glad to see that you're not being judgemental. :glare:

It's a slippery slope for anyone who starts elevating their book over another's book simply because it claims to be God's word.
Everyone's book claims to be God's word. It's a slippery slope to claim to be Right when all you have is a circular argument.
I'll specify what I meant. It's a slippery slope when one (this can include 'churches') elevates their own beliefs over the Bible....the one true Word of God that was inspired by God Himself. When you start elevating your own ideas above God, it's a slippery slope.

We love love LOVE our zoo membership. It's $50 to go once (does not include tram, train, etc...) OR $120 for a year with unlimited tram, train, etc... I love that we can go for a few hours and leave knowing we can come back again. The bad thing about spending the $50 once is you feel like you need to stay all day to get your moneys worth. We also have a membership to our local science museum. We won't get that again. After a few times of going, the kids got bored going back (it's not a great museum anyway)

The entire series of Life Goes On. I think season 1 was out for a while, but now I can't even find that.

I should add this....my little one who had this issue also had other health issues (Down syndrome, Cleft palate, and 2 holes in his heart...unrelated to the murmur, and severe silent reflux and apspirating) So it wasn't a FTT ONLY issue. Obviously your little one doesn't have most/any of the above issues! Hope you get answers soon! It's so hard when there is something up with your wee one. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

At 8 weeks old, my baby still weighed under his birth weight. He also has/had a murmur. The Dr we saw told us that no matter how much or little a baby eats, never feed them over 30 minutes at a time. Once they hit the 30 minute mark, they are burning more calories than they are taking in, no matter what the source of nutrition (BM or formula) Just a thought. :grouphug: Hope the cardi. appt goes well!

Looking for an update. Praying! :grouphug:

Oh my word...how devastating. Please keep us updated on his situation. Prayers for him and his family. It's surreal to think about how quickly your life can take a tragic turn. :grouphug:
