  1. We have been doing this for 2 years now! It is great!!! I am not waiting for a husband for our main meal since he passed away 3 years ago, so it is just me and the kids. Our after school schedule is very busy so this works great for us. I also like having all of the dishes etc. done earlier in the day. Eating your largest meal at mid-day is better for your body too!!! During the school week, I plan easier meals. Since it is only the 3 of us, most meals last us 2 days...so I just re-heat the 2nd day. My children are kitchen helpers so that does help. When the kids have some independent work to do, I do some meal prep. I also prep. meals the night before. I do utilize the crock pot and cook things on high rather than low. Good luck! Kelley
  2. I appreciate your honest insight. I have enjoyed reading everyones experiences. This gives me a alot ot think and pray about. I may give Guitar Praise a try, but I would like to read more reviews on it. Kelley

  5. I have really enjoyed reading everyones responses. That has been my major concerns. It amazes me that Guitar Hero is played in youth group. I wish that Guitar Praise was able to be used on the regular game systems.... but I know that is very costly to the manufacturer of the game. Kelley
  6. I did read some mixed review of that game (Guitar Praise) on Amazon. I think it is a wonderful idea though.... I am anxious to read more reviews Kelley

  11. I didn't realize that TT 4-7 used consumable workbooks. :DI thought that the program was set up the same as the Pre-Algebra and up courses... I think I will give TT a try since we have had great success with the Pre-Algebra program. :) Kelley
  12. Thanks for all of your ideas! Now I know what programs to research for next year! Kelley
  13. It would be pure torture for my son to copy every math problem down.:tongue_smilie: We have had workbooks for grades 1-3 using BJU. I would like to find a quality math program that is not teacher intensive that utilizes workbooks rather than having the student copy the problems. Thanks! Kelley

  18. These books are great!! "The Best of Sewing Machine Fun For Kids" by Nancy Smith and Lynda Milligan It is very comprehensive from learning about the parts of a sewing machine, practicing sewing on paper, learning how to thread a machine, and very easy projects. (Cute ones too!) Another great resource is "Stitches and Pins" by JoAnn Gagnon. (REally neat projects full sized patterns are included. There is also a boys version of this book. Samples of this can be seen at http://www.bunkhousesewing.com HTH, Kelley
  19. The other CD's seem to be in chronological order. The student completes a timeline for each of the other 3 Cd's. HTH, Kelley
