  1. Last summer, 3yo ds and a friend were out back. I went in for a minute, then went out to check on them and they weren't there. The side gate was open. I ran out front and looked up and down the street and I didn't see them.

     

    I went back in the yard, yelling for them. I turned and saw that they were both in our next door neighbor's yard playing with their PowerWheels.

     

    I yelled at both boys about how scared I was that I couldn't find them and then took them inside.

    Balderdash???? It would seem that you owe Fox an apology.

     

    The above is from the document. Now I sure do not want a 5 year old being taught what is listed and I do not want a 9 year old being taught about wet dreams.

     

    Let’s also be serious here, when you point out that touching certain parts in a certain way may be pleasurable IS an open invitation to try it. Arguing otherwise is quite simply disingenuous.

     

    You know, with kids hitting puberty early, it's entirely possible that there are 9 year old boys who are having wet dreams. If they don't learn about what's happening, they could think there's something wrong with them.

    Room in the car means having a seatbelt available.

  4. I'd probably switch to CLE Light Units so there isn't a lot of materials to take.

     

    This is a good suggestion. CLE is very portable.

    And no, I wouldn't try to homeschool with just two days a week. I would have my older kids take work with them to the appointments. I'd add evening study time on the speech therapy days.

     

    You could even see if there's another homeschooling mom who could watch the older kids once or twice a week and do the teaching. Or if there's a college kid who could drive the littles to speech once in a while.

     

    Do you go to church? Is there speech transportation something you could get the church family to help with?

  6. I respect your right to your decision, but comparing male circumcision to getting a girl's ears pierced is an egregiously erroneous comparison. The more accurate comparison would be male circumcision to labial circumcision. This practice is also common in some areas of the world. The labia is cut away from the infant girl's genitalia. Likewise, the foreskin is cut away from the infant boy's genitalia. THAT is a like comparison.

     

    That makes more sense.
