  1. Exciting! Best wishes for you and your growing family!
  2. I'm wondering what you would recommend to a friend if they asked about a great grammar curriculum. I'd love to hear your suggestions.
  3. Love her descriptions! And I appreciate that she's trying hard with punctuation in areas. I agree with above that you should let her know there are errors, but that's she is doing fantastic at putting her thoughts onto paper. I can tell she is very fun and creative :)
  4. I think it looks great. She covered lots of ideas and had nice descriptions.
  5. That's fantastic! Isn't it wonderful to see these thoughts being put down on paper? How fun!
  6. I think it looks like she could use a bit more practice with lines and letter formations just so it's repetitive and really sinks in, but it's not terrible. With my son, I use A Reason for Handwriting on top of the copywork, spelling words, etc. I think that in this situation, practice really helps to perfect the art of neat writing. Have fun!
  7. I've heard the Superman thing before. I wish grammar weren't so complicated to remember ;)
  8. Thank you for your input. I've acted as his scribe for all of the writing mostly... Besides his handwriting and copywork, etc. I just didn't know when it's necessary that he's doing these things on his own. We use Sonlight and love it. Sometimes I struggle with knowing where he "should" be because he reads SO far ahead and his math skills for a 6 years old are incredible too. Thanks!
  9. Hi. I'm looking for recommendations on a program to get my first grader writing better. He's an excellent reader (reads at a 4th grade level) and speller, but he just doesn't seem interested in formulating his thoughts on paper. How can I help him in this area and make it fun? Any ideas?
