  1. My best friend is being induced tonight for her twins. Her ob is letting her try vaginal since baby A finally turned even though baby B is breech. Her ob did say if both were still breech it would be auto c section. She did have to travel over an hour to find an ob and hospital willing to allow a vaginal twin birth...part of why she is being induced tonight.

  2. So not in the North East but I want to say that DisneyWorld was AMAZING for my special daughter. With the accomadations that they (and we) did it was as if she was normal. Food was a breeze (and she is food allergic) and with the stroller as wheelchair and GAC she was able to enjoy the 3 hours we spent each evening at the park just as if she was a normal child just without having to wait as long in line or be in huge groups of people.

  3. Yes, I think a lot of people mean they don't have the extra money in their budget to do what ever it is that is being asked of them. Basically for many it is another way to say our priorities are different than that of those they are around so we have no money to spend on xyz. That's why I have real problem with people that say we have no money unless they really don't because then those that really have no money get assumed they mean it the same way other's do.

  4. I went to a college where modesty is stressed (and you sign you will follow the modesty code in the honor code) including sleeves on all tops, no middriff, shorts and skirts to the knee...but the dance department has a ballet program and they allow leo's with 1 inch + straps that go no lower than like 4 inches down the back and no french cut with pink tights so there are ways to be more modest in ballet but teachers have to see the body and leos and tights are the best way to do it.

  5. When I think back to my PS education I remember history getting all jumbled up...egypt and rome 1 year, followed by modern history the next, followed by my state study, followed by renaissance and then US history up to civil war then back to egypt and rome. Basically it was a big jumble that had no real order at least to me. When I see the WTM series for history and science I see it more as a guideline for setting building blocks of knowledge that can be built on in each 4 year cycle. It is not all inclusive it is as much as you can do.

  6. Basically the problem is 2 fold...1st The use of a large title that encompasses a large number of different types of people but really is only for a small subset of the large title..IE title is Yellow Circles but they only mean 1 very specific shade of yellow that is determined to be be "best" by those in charge. The solution to this is to very specific in titling the group so as to get as close to the small segment as possible IE Crayola Crayon Yellow Perfectly Circular Circles group.

2nd transparency in what is the small subset that is quick and easy to understand IE a self measurement tool to determine if you are Perfectly circular and matching crayon to determine if the right yellow IMMEDIATELY available before putting yourself out in trying to find if you will fit the groups definition. But there should also be the ability to abide by the Perfectly Circular Crayola Crayon Yellow beliefs but not 100% be perfectly circular as long as your non perfectly circular light yellow enjoying self does not try to change or otherwise influence the group in any way.

I am grateful to be part of a Christian organization that while most there probably believe I am not Christian accept me...at the same time I keep my mouth closed about things that are different from what I know they believe and I made the effort to ensure that I knew what they believed before I attended so as not to say things that contradict their beliefs.

  7. I love the idea of a formal library room, a large island just like Spy Car suggested, and then I want a room off the main living space that can alternate as playroom and school room basically I want my kids near by to play and not upstairs in their rooms ect. and if it could double as a school room when I need it that would be great! Oh and laundry on the same floor as all the bedrooms!

  8. I don't know of any info that says she had a reason to believe she would give birth prematurely. She developed pre-eclampsia, which she had not had before to my knowledge. After 18 healthy pregnancies how was she to know that would happen? I had perfect blood pressure with my first, and developed hypertension with my second. There was no way to predict that would happen.

I believe that she had pre-eclampsia with her oldest set of twins...but then had how many more 100% normal pregancies without it. I realize the thread has moved away from this but I remember watching one of the Josie episodes and it did say she had pre-eclampsia/or high blood pressure but pre pre-eclampsia in 1 other pregancy.

  9. The cap started in May. It's the reason we switched to Brighthouse. Just as we decided to cancel Directv and do most of our tv watching through streaming, AT&T, our provider at the time said they were going to cap usage. Brighthouse insists they have no plans to cap usage (fingers crossed).

As for smart phones, all require a data plan and there's no such thing as unlimited data anymore for smart phones. For messaging phones however, you can still get the $10 unlimited but I think that's only if you have a family plan. Not sure, but ds' messaging phone has the $10 unlimited plan.

Actually Sprint is still 100% unlimited data! I have it use it love it and they say they are not going to change it. of course that is just what they say.

  10. The paperwork stuff has dragged. I really thought it would be quick since he was preapproved, but we're hearing -- "Oh, we forgot to get this paper" or "Oh, we need this other signature." Etc. As if extra requirements just randomly arise.

Sadly the extra requirements probably did just randomly arise...when we bought our house we would do everything they asked and then all the sudden would have to "prove" something else or find some other random piece of paper...I want to say we closed well over a month after we ha already moved in...thank goodness the person selling the house was very accomodating because we didn't have anywhere else to live because the house selling should have been over in the 2 months before...but the mortage market sucks right now and its hard to get a mortage with a lot of hoops to jump that change weekly literally.

  11. The fact that education is 100% political and that your child's education each year is based on the political actions of the nation, state, school board, superintendent, principal and finally teacher. That means when times are good and money is good and things are good then the education is good...but in times like now when money is lean the class sizes are increasing the teachers are more burned out, the school districts are looking at ways to cut money including teachers, aids and supplies, and states are doing things to encourage districts to cut money. Education is tied to high stakes testing determined by a federal government although education is a states issue...by homeschooling you avoid MOST of the political issues that come yearly and get to fight for the issues that directly effect you. Google CA and class size increase, also look at VT governors comments from about 2 years ago about cutting the schools budget to encourage consolidating schools and class sizes, he has since realized he was an idiot

  12. I have found this too be true unfortunetely today, I bought something from a seller on here and it has been 6 weeks with no books still. About 4 weeks ago, she sent an email that she was sorry for the delay and would send them out that day, but they are not here still. I paid over $100 in books! I dont know what to do, I paid personal Paypal. I had no idea how it worked, just thought it was cool that you didnt have to pay fees this way.

Do you guys think I could have recourse through the bank or credit card company that I use to pay paypal through?

Maybe this would help in your case too!

FYI if it is within 45 days of your purchase you can open a claim...then up grade to a dispute within 20 days...that gives the buyer the protection, if you trust the person let them know that you are just filing to keep your options open.
