  1. Hamelin Armtastics (youtube workout) followed by a short swim. I really want to do a long swim, but I need to make breakfast early, since dh has a football game. I don't want to swim afterwards when the sun is far too intense.
  2. New thread. Please post your workouts here. Everyone welcome. :)
  3. Will soon be doing a Jane Fonda walk, followed by an Essentrics stretching routine.
  4. Will soon do a Bar Method workout & if I have time, I'll also do a Classical Stretch routine. Hope you're not in too much pain. :grouphug:
  5. Amy, loved seeing all your pictures. Thank you so much for sharing them.
  6. About to soon do 3 Miles of Leslie.
  7. Thank you all so much. I've been having fun browsing and bookmarking several of these sites. I love their outfits. Thank you, Xuzi! I placed an order. :D
  8. Stacia, Happy, Happy Birthday! :grouphug: I read 84, Charing Cross Road & its sequel The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street - 3 Stars - I’d probably give this 3 1/2 stars, but 3 is fine also. This was an entertaining, easy, and quick read, based on a series of letters written between a woman in New York and the people who run a book shop in England. MY RATING SYSTEM 5 Stars Fantastic, couldn't put it down 4 Stars Really Good 3 Stars Enjoyable 2 Stars Just Okay – nothing to write home about 1 Star Rubbish – waste of my money and time. Few books make it to this level, since I usually give up on them if they’re that bad.
  9. About to soon do Joyce Vedral's On the Ball workout. Haven't done any of her workouts in a while.
  10. New thread. Please post your workouts here. Everyone welcome. :)
  11. Will soon be doing 4 Miles of Leslie & a Classical Stretch: Full Body Strengthening.
  12. Rebounding. No, it isn't a lot harder at all. If I remember correctly, I think she just talks a bit too fast . You should be able to handle this workout, I think. If you love the Super Sculpting ones, you may like this one as well. You may want to look at some reviews and/or first. The video fitness link - some are not crazy about it. I would say it's nice to have, but not an absolute necessity, if you know what I mean. It's a good barre workout, but not my favorite. http://www.amazon.com/Method-Dancers-Body-Advanced-Workout/dp/B004AY8YI2 http://www.videofitness.com/~vfwnk/forum/showthread.php?t=160962 http://www.videofitness.com/reviewsdb/disp_review.php?id=3734
  13. Hope to do at least 4 Miles of Leslie, maybe more. I wish I had time to workout & do everything I want to get done. Don't we all! Me neither. And Soror is right. Your garden is absolutely beautiful. Hope you're feeling better. :grouphug: Evening walks are delightful. :) :grouphug:
  14. Only stretching. Wanted to do more, but the day looks like it will be quite busy.
  15. Xuzi and Fairfarmhand, thank you both so much. I remember hearing about both of those sites here, but I'd forgotten about them. Thanks for the reminder. :) I can't figure out why I'm having such a hard time finding clothes that I like.
  16. like that. Can you suggest your favorite sites? Everywhere I go has nothing to write home about - Macy's, Ann Taylor, Nordstrom, J. Crew, Land's End, you name it. I'm tired of wearing trousers and shorts. I prefer knee length or around there. And I hate sleeveless. Thank you. :)
  17. Will soon be doing: Exhale Core Fusion: Thighs & Glutes.
  18. I read Call the Midwife - 5 Stars - This was an utterly fascinating memoir. What made it even more enjoyable for me was that I am a bit familiar with the East End. I spent six weeks there in my late teens (30 years ago) while staying with a friend. I haven’t seen the TV series yet and don’t know if I’ll have time to do so, even though I’d like to. I can’t wait to read the sequels. Also read Amsterdam: A History of the World's Most Liberal City - 2 Stars - This was just okay. I skipped through the boring parts, which were quite a lot, possibly because I’ve been reading quite a bit about Amsterdam lately  ! Some of it was fine, but the rest was a bit monotonous and tedious for me. One part that I thought was particularly interesting was towards the end of this book, the author reminds us of the story of “The Boy Who Held Back the Sea†– one that many are familiar with. I had previously read that this is not a Dutch story, but was actually written by an American over a century ago. A Dutch friend reminds the author that the story is “purely Americanâ€, that in the Netherlands, “dike building and dike repair are communal enterprises, were the Dutch to construct such a fairy tale, the 'hero' would be town water board." MY RATING SYSTEM 5 Stars Fantastic, couldn't put it down 4 Stars Really Good 3 Stars Enjoyable 2 Stars Just Okay – nothing to write home about 1 Star Rubbish – waste of my money and time. Few books make it to this level, since I usually give up on them if they’re that bad.
  19. Hoping to get through 9 Miles of Leslie today. I have the time & figured, "Why not?"
