I have looked at it for ds for next year. I was considering doing it over 2 years with more literature added in and using Queen's new American History for my 2 dds. That is if I would choose something other than MFW which is highly unlikely. It does look very good and I like that they can use it pretty much independantly.

I have dealt with this most of my life. I CANNOT have just carbs. I NEED to have protein everytime I eat. That helps keep my blood sugar steady for longer. I also need to eat every few hours. I actually cannot eat refined sugar and flour. I carry snacks everywhere I go. Trail mix with nuts and dried fruit is a great snack to carry. Some other good snacks are yougurt with fruit, cheese and wheat crackers, apple or celery and peanut butter. Breakfast is the most important meal. Make sure she gets some good protein like eggs or protein shakes work very well.

I am VERY interested in pursuing a degree as Master Herbalist. But I am confused about the choices of online schools. It seems like there is a HUGE difference in tuition and I wonder about the quality of education. So far I am leaning toward The Natural Healing College. I have also looked into School of Natural Healing and Clayton College, but they are SO expensive. The Natural Healing College advertises $500.00 for EVERYTHING for your degree. Is this right? It seems so cheap????

Oops, actually it's 1000 mg TWICE a dy for 30 days. Does this sound right?

A couple weeks ago ds was achey and tired. I thought it was from food allergies, but took him to the Dr and mentioned we've had a lot of ticks around. Well, she tested him for Lyme and we found out 2 days ago it was positive. He has the joint achiness and a little fatigue. He still plays pretty hard, but is wiped out at night. She prescribed Amoxicillin, 1000mg a day for 30 days. Is this the right course of treatment? She also ordered an EKG and an echo to make sure it hasn't affected his heart. She does not think this was an early finding. She thinks it's been with him awhile because it's affecting his joints. Not sure about that. He seemed fine up till about a month ago. What do you all think? TIA This is VERY rare in our area. There are 3 reported cases in our county in the last 10 yrs!!! That's why I'm here to ask the experts:)

MFW, MOH, or Biblioplan:) I use MFW and it is very biblical. I also own MOH which would be great for just history and Biblioplan is good if you want to add in more literature.

Sorry, haven't used Voyages. But have you considered BJU? It's colorful and ds used it one year. I liked the grammar and writing instruction. He didn't think there was enough review, but in hindsight I think that using it year after year the concepts would sink in.

I will be using MFW RTR for bible, history, science, vocab, and art:001_smile: Best wishes deciding what to use!

Anyone who has used one or more of these programs can you please tell me about them? How teacher intensive are they? How much time per day, days per week? It seems they include grammar, copywork, spelling. Are they meant to be stand-alone LA? Could one use them that way? How effective are they in improving your child's writing? Thank you!

We used ECC last year and it was a very fun year for us! Fun crafts, songs, and dishes from around the world. My kids love to cook, so they really enjoyed helping prepare different dishes. I highly recommend it:)
