  1. They are beautiful. I just started researching goats. Contemplating getting a few. Do you milk them?
  2. I love MFW because it is so biblically-based. We read 1-2 books of the bible every day and I am amazed at how many bible verses my children have memorized this year! Hiding that Word in their heart is what it's all about:001_smile:
  3. Thanks for the bump:) I am also contemplating Exploration Education. I know they are totally different, but they both look appealing.
  4. If you've used it, please tell me your likes and dislikes. I am contemplating using it for ds12 next year. We will be doing MFW RTR and I will use their science for dd9. I thought SL would go well with RTR and be a bit more challenging for ds. I like that they will study reproduction seperately and I love that he will study survival skills!
  5. Which do you prefer and why? We use and love MFW, however I have been curious about Biblioplan. Are there any other activities besides maps, coloring, writing assignments, and timelines? Do they have you memorize the states? Do you learn about individual states? TIA
  6. Hi, I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks and decided I should introduce myself. I have been married to dh 14 years and have been blessed with 3 kiddos - ds11, dd9, and dd5. I began hsing when ds was in K, but sent them to ps for 2 years after my mom died suddenly. I LOVE being home with my kids and teaching them. We are currently using MFW K and CTG. Ds uses TT and R&S English. DD uses CLE Math and LLATL. I am quite happy with our choices this year and feel like I'm FINALLY figuring out what works for us. Although I still love to research new curriculum, hehe.
  7. Ohhhh, I would love to hear the answer to this question. My ds is 11 and he LOOOOOVES TT!!!
  8. I think MFW CTG does a good job of integrating the two. Biblical history is read directly from the bible, but other civilizations are covered in Streams and Ancient World. Right now we are reading about the Exodus in the bible and studying the first North Americans, Ancient Peru, and the Olmecs. I LOVE that we are learning what was going on in the rest of the world during bible times. It really makes the bible come alive for me!
