  1. Are other people having the same problem? If so, find out. There is strength in numbers. I would consider writing to your local newspaper as well. The way I see it, libraries are funded in part, if not mostly, by tax payers and people who contribute with the idea that they are helping a good cause. So the community owns the library, the people at the library are working for you. In some towns, the library boards are run by elected officials so they have a duty and repsonsibility to hear compliments and complaints. I would write the letter, as I would think I would be doing a service to my community by trying to improve a system that is failing.
  2. I would try adjusting feeding times, especially if you are nursing. Mama's milk is like a sedative for babies, usually they want to sleep right after a big meal. So I would try to feed the baby right before bed eventually.
  3. We always RSVP. Though, we do not respond to "regrets only". I think it is rude to make a person contact you to tell you the "bad news" that they are not coming. I feel like I am being punished for not coming when people use regrets only, because sometimes it is uncomfortable to call someone up and tell them you are not coming. They always want a reason too, sometimes I don't have any other reason than I don't wish to go to a party that day. I guess I have just been invited to too many parties with my in-laws that I had no desire to go to. We are friends with so many families of four or more, and our invitations are always addressed to the "Smith Family" or the "Stone Family" indicating that all of their children are welcome. Our friends do the same.
  4. Animal parade. They taste really good too, since they are made from real, whole foods. DD age 2 takes 1 and DS age 4 takes 2. I think you can find them at any health food store like Whole Foods.
  5. I live Northeast of Boston about 15-20 minutes from the NH border. :)
