If I have extra money I try to buy a few extra turkeys for the freezer. Then when I cook one I define and put in freezer bags. Makes for quick meals later. Casseroles, quesadillas, chicken pot pie, chicken and dimplingd. Plus I make broth with the bones in my crockpot. Either freeze or can it.

I have always given lots of presents. This year things are super tight and I am scared people are going to be disappointed.

I love that show and that scene. I told ds to go get my bundt pan. He started laughing and saying butt pan

Cut in 1/2 & scoop out seeds and strings. Roast it.
When cool scoop out into portions in freezer bags and freeze for later.I
Or let your kids use them as target practice or pumpkin chunking

I use to buy my gifts, hand it to him and say, this is from you to me but you need to wrap it.
Now I "mention/point out" things in front of ds2 and say "oooh I like that!". Then he tells dh.
Or I just tell dh, "hey I like that and it would be good Christmas present"
Dh is not good with gifting. Point blank telling him makes him happy.

I got a $10 Starbucks gift card (ecard) for $5.
I have another of of these ecards I had already purchased. Going to be one of my brothers Christmas present.
Does anyone know if these can be transferred to an actual gift card if I take into a Starbucks?

With my stepdad, caps come off when you sit at the table, whether it is a restaurant or him. So when with him hats come off.
With me it depends on how nice a place we are at (we never eat anywhere really fancy). And at home I don't care.
Caps must be off for prayer.

Meal plan -- I was doing good, got busy and we haven't been eating so great.

Do you have a Big Lots? They had the retro candy by the decade.
The lottery tickets is a good idea or the casino gift card.

I have this https://www.amazon.com/Big-Boss-Oil-less-Fryer-Silver/dp/B007P6SAZ4
I have big boys that eat alot. I have to make several batches. I have never tried to pile fries in it like the picture shows. So maybe if that worked!?!?
I didn't buy it, it was a gift.
I do use it when we have snack foods, like new years eve, along with my oven. Kinda like having 2 ovens.
I do like that I don't have to preheat. And it is great for cheese sticks.
I need to try it out with different foods. I forget about it sometimes.

Ds needed a new coat. Looked at local store. Found one he liked ok but was more money than I had.
Next day went to a different store out of town. Found one 1/2 price of local coat. And he really liked the cheaper one.

Not many changes here. Just hanging on and trying to use what we have.
The weather has been great so I have been enjoying sitting outside and reading library books. Free entertainment.

I definitely shouldn't give house keeping advice. Mine isn't dirty but definitely cluttered.
I do at least 1 load of laundry a day, sometimes several loads. One day might be towels, next day clothes. Sheets get washed once a week. I picked our least busy/out of house day for sheet day. Once a month I do all blankets.
Dishes & wiping down counters get done several times a day (no dishwasher) but especially before bed. That makes my day start better.
The rest of it I am working on. I try to pick a spot everyday (ok every few days) and trying to declutter and deep clean. Then keep that spot clean with a quick wipe down or pick up every few days. Slow process but this not so neat person is trying.
