  1. Morning. Today's the day. Goals: House: chores, possibly some decluttering of surfaces Gardens: continue the container watering, but it's still too cold to get the large pots outside. Sunday looks good for that. Cooking: breakfast for dinner, fruit School: off, except for driving test this afternoon Writing: journal, revisions continue, catch up on reading, pick a few books for next month to read.
  2. Morning. Got lots of writing to do, some cleaning, but am making time to go through my garden seeds and pretend I have more room to garden and hours to putter around my yard and gardens like a Gertrude Jekyll type instead of a gardener who has to skip watering that plant because a grasshopper flew in there.
  3. Morning. Work yesterday. More work today, but it's writing work. Today's goals: House: chores Gardens: some watering, go through seeds for February starting. Cooking: probably something involving leftovers School: usual Writing: continue revisions, still waiting on an edit letter, journal, some reading Extra: getting stuff together for tomorrow's driver's written test for the boys. Maybe wig shopping since I'll soon have all my hair torn out?
  4. Morning! Today's list: House: chores Gardens: continue container watering Cooking: grilling burgers this evening School: usual Writing: journal, continue revisions, query day, reading over the next story I'll be revising and one I'm trying to finish drafting. That's about it. I think that's plenty.
  5. Morning. You know what I dislike about lists now? They never get done. Even when they get done, they don't, because something doesn't work and they have to be done again. Tax stuff. Grrr. Today's goals: House: chores Gardens: watering (warmest day this week, so I need to get the big planters out to water today) Cooking: slow-roasted pork shoulder, chips, dip, fruit School: usual Writing: journal, begin revision project 3, see if I can squeeze some drafting in. Today is a ton of reading for the revision project, so I may or may not get to drafting today.
  6. Morning. I could type the same thing as I did yesterday, only I don't have my yogurt out yet because early morning eating leads to disaster for me. But same stuff here--caffeinate, make sure everyone heads into the week okay, then dig into another revision project. I'm not feeling great today, and wasn't last night either, but no fever. I'm just tired.
  7. Morning. Busy week ahead, but I've got to get through today first. Goals: House: chores, grocery run Gardens: none School: schedules (didn't get to those yesterday) Cooking: roast, gravy, potatoes, cauliflower, peach cobbler Writing: journal, finish revision project 2, start revision project 3, drafting projects 4/5? Maybe? Reviews, some reading Extra: tax stuff
  8. Morning. Eating my yogurt because I've got a deadline to meet today (self-imposed, but still). Other than that, it's cold, sunny, and there's food in the refrigerator that I need to cook later today. ETA: It's a carpe your diem Booyah!
  9. Morning. This is one of those days where I'd love to be treated to about a week in a cabin in the woods with no distractions so I could finish up some projects. But as I don't have an affordable cabin in the woods vacant at the moment, and too many things to do, I'll just manage here. Maybe I'll wear a flannel shirt and burn a candle or something to pretend. Today's goals: House: chores Gardens: none Cooking: breakfast for dinner School: usual Writing: journal, finish revisions on project 2 (finished project 1 yesterday), review project 1 and send off, start project 3, cry because there's no room to start project 4 and 5 in the schedule and I really wanted to do 4 and 5, and possibly hyperventilate because new project 1 arrives next week.
  10. Morning. Yes, get peeing cat checked out. I do have one with anxiety and she takes meds to help her not pee on things. So far she's done well, but she's still pretty stressed out (for a cat who sleeps most of the day). We have neighbor cats who swing by to annoy her at times (none of my cats goes out) and that always wrecks things. One of them used to come to the back window and punch it, upsetting the kitten who would punch him back through the glass. Cats are weird. More revisions today.
  11. Morning. Staying with it today--I'm closing in on finishing with two writing projects and I need them to be done today. Goals: House: chores Cooking: pinto beans, sausage, cornbread Gardens: none School: usual Writing: Finish two read-thru sessions with revisions for sound, then edit a style sheet for one, post a poem to critique group Extra: stay hydrated
  12. Morning. Today's goals: House: chores Cooking: pizza night Gardens: last of the container watering as soon as it warms up enough to get the big plants outside School: usual Writing: journal, revision listing continues, some querying today Extra: phone calls
  13. Morning. Bright and sunny here and lots of melting going on. I'm rescheduling a few things today like haircuts to next month and working to hit a self-imposed revision deadline this week. Should make it. Other than that, chores, and I'm trying hard NOT to hurt my back again. It's been better this weekend because I've been careful not to do any heavy lifting. Need to keep watching out for that and hopefully it will go ahead and heal up.
  14. Morning! Typical Monday here. Lots going on. Today's goals: House: chores, linens, bed/bath Gardens: water containers (small ones, get the lemons and the agave out to water when it warms up) Cooking: roast chicken, cauliflower, fresh fruit salad School: usual Writing: I'm substantially done with revisions, so this week is listening to both stories and adjusting for flow, listening for repeated words that aren't intentional, and so forth. Some reading, but I'm going to try to do one study read and one fun read this week. Extra: some phone calls
  15. I understand it's a bit of a challenge. Florida grows so many veggies, getting some kinds of seeds can be hard, is that right?
  16. I suspect it's what dumped this on us. We weren't supposed to get any. It started snowing at 9 on Saturday morning and snowed until 10 at night. The ground was nice and warm, as were the roads, so it didn't add up to much here. But some places north of us got over 10 inches.
  17. Morning. There's snow on the ground and stuff in my book to do. No art today what with the plague going around. Today's goals: House: chores, grocery run, clean fridge out Gardens: none Cooking: making some creamy mushroom soup today, possibly potato soup as well. School: schedules Writing: continue revisions (almost done!), reading, prep for some drafting this week, yay!
  18. Morning. It snowed. It wasn't supposed to, but we needed the rain, so the water is welcome. Roads are fine.
  19. Morning. Boy, I need to update my signature, don't I? I'll have to do that sometime. Today's goals: House: chores Gardens: finish the container watering with some help. My back is still bad. Cooking: bacon, eggs, pancakes School: usual Writing: journal, revisions, reading, work on cover art and an illustration for another book.
  20. Morning. I think we will miss the snow once again. Nothing but dead grass as far as the eye can see. Finishing up a revision today hopefully. Got another to start next week.
  21. Morning. Worked all day yesterday, and I mean all day. It was very busy. Today's goals: House: chores (the boys cleaned house yesterday while I worked!) Gardens: watering lemons and agave Cooking: making the chicken fried steaks today. I wanted them earlier in the week, but was out of GF flour, so I traded a meal plan School: usual Writing: journal, revisions, reading, some studying! Other than that, my back still hurts, and I want to get a walk in later today.
  22. Morning. I haven't seen snow yet. It all comes through here, getting colder, but the rain leaves before it gets cold and drops anything white on us so far.
  23. Morning. Still cold. Still hurting. Last night was not good. But resting seems to make things feel better. I don't feel really rough until the evening. Today's goals: House: chores Gardens: container watering-orchids Cooking: pizza night School: usual Writing: journaling, revisions, reading, queries Extra: errands in town
