  1. My grandma had her last 3 sons a year apart each (almost to the day). Apparently she then told Grandpa to sleep in the barn. :)
  2. Very intelligent dogs that are loyal and great with kids. A chi would likely be  with your kids being the ages they are. I know when the nieces and nephews come to visit ours prefers to hide. She doesn't like the loud voices or the energetic play. She is definately a lap dog for my dh and ds who is 15.
  3. Our sons are 15 and 17. We enjoy them both and while they can each be challenging at times, so can we, as their parents. :001_smile: I think part of it is the time we spend as homeschoolers developing more of a relationship with our sons and part of it is that they aren't hearing how they "should" act or how "dumb parents are" from their peers. We're working hard at making our home a teen hangout for the guys and their friends so that we can continue to provide a fun and safe place for them to hang out. :lurk5:
  4. Great timing for me. I'm working at decluttering this week before we have the guys' birthdays this Sunday with our families. So far I'm at 30/100 after cleaning out our closet and laundry room.
  5. He first started wearing them at age 8. Eye doctor stressed how important the care was and since I wore contacts, he agreed to fit him for them. Nine years later he's done great with them. I am impressed with how much it helped him to mature.
  6. We're doing chicken and dumplings with deer sausage and crackers. Easy and quick.
